What does it mean to be literate?

Making this short video was really great for me! It forced me to focus and condense my argument down to bite size pieces. I'm trying to argue that the way we run our public schools today has caused us to loose a vital part of  literacy, that is communication. It is shifting our focus from creating and developing new ideas to getting passing grades on all our tests. enjoy!

  1. I agree with you claim. I think that the opposite effect happens when we take tests and do assignments. Those things don't really reflect our learning. I think when we talk with others and communicate, that is where are true learning comes out.
