Why Are People Voting for Trump?

There has been much political communication surrounding Donald Trump and his running for presidency. The majority of the communication I have seen and heard has been negative towards Trump, so why is he currently the leading republican candidate?

In a well written article by Thomas Frank, he outlines why people are actually voting for Trump. Many professional class Americans are saying that people are voting for Trump because like themselves, Trump is a bigot, and they want a white supremacist in the White House. The majority of the communication about people voting for Trump is from the professional class making assumptions about those voting for Trump, rather than actually asking the working class that is voting for him, why they are voting for him. Once you start asking the questions as did Working America, the truth is revealed. People like Trump because it says it like it is, and because of his stance on Trade!

Much of the working class is supporting Trump for his views on trade
In this digital age it is easy to see and hear only what you want to, but as we look a little deeper we can find out what people are actually saying and why they are doing what they are doing. Don't get lost behind the technology and ability to make great assumptions, still just ask the real people "why are you voting for Trump," and they will tell you.

  1. That's something I've run into this election cycle - that there is so much dirt on candidates like Hillary and Trump, that it's hard to get an unbiased view of them, and more difficult to learn more in general about the other potential candidates. I agree that we need to delve deeper than the surface of each candidate in order to get down to the truth on each one.
